Under 25 års tid har Oblivia skapat föreställningar och öppnat världar med rörelse, text, ljud, ljus och lakonisk humor. Oblivia har ett kännspakt minimalistiskt förhållningssätt till existentiella ämnen, som definierar mänskligheten och som skapar universum av flimrande fragment.
Oblivialle monitaiteellisuuden kautta esiintyjät kehollistavat eri taiteen lajeja sekä ajatuksia, konsepteja, esittävää taidetta toiston ja rytmin kautta. Näyttämöllä ja esityksessä kaikki elementit kuten valot, äänet, musiikki, puvut, liikkeet, tekstit ja huumori ovat yhtä tärkeitä.
Oblivia was born in the beginning of the new millennium in a spirit of exploring and experimenting, it was a time of cooperation, optimism and hope. Oblivia’s work is playful but serious and create cosmoses out of fragments on a bare stage. It is a miracle when a seed sprouts and grows in a black box. At the very heart of each production lies an existential idea and in the encounter of the performers and the audience something magical but also very profoundly human happens.
In our crazy, dark and troubled times of today Oblivia ́s work is needed even more than before. The artistic view is no longer representing the ideal or utopia but rather the everyday sanity and the basics of humanity as art challenges and shapes the borders of reality. The sharp gaze, quick reactions and the spontaneous laughter of the artists affects both decision makers, stakeholders and structures and has an impact on the interpretations of power and politics.
